RENNtech has unveiled the SEC V12 Widebody Sledgehammer, a restomod based on the iconic Mercedes-Benz C126. Only 12 examples will be produced worldwide, each featuring a fully restored chassis and a completely bespoke interior. Deliveries are set to begin in 2027, though pricing remains undisclosed.
RENNtech SEC V12: A Hand-Built 7.5-Liter V-12

Power comes from a hand-assembled 7.5-liter version of the legendary Mercedes-Benz M120. The naturally aspirated V-12 produces 660 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, with no turbocharging or hybrid assistance involved.
The M120 name carries historic weight, having powered machines such as the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR and the Pagani Zonda.
Widebody Restoration and Engineering

The classic C126 platform is restored from the frame up. Its widened stance isn’t purely aesthetic; integrated ducting enhances cooling, aerodynamics, and high-speed stability. Custom-forged wheels and aggressively flared arches amplify the coupe’s muscular presence.
Each Sledgehammer blends vintage Mercedes design with modern performance upgrades.
RENNtech SEC V12: Limited Production, Maximum Exclusivity
Founded in 1989, RENNtech has spent decades developing high-performance upgrades for Mercedes-AMG vehicles. With the SEC V12 Widebody Sledgehammer, the company pays homage to the legendary AMG “Hammer” era while pushing performance even further.
With just 12 units planned, this V-12-powered restomod promises rarity and presence that few modern supercars can match.
