For more than two decades, the Continental GT model has been the benchmark in the 2-door grand tourer segment. Customers who had a taste for luxury but were looking for high comfort and performance always ended up buying themselves a Bentley Continental GT or a really expensive BMW.
The 2025 refresh for the Bentley Continental GT offers a new facelift, new options, and now the W12 is gone. Yet, that won’t stop customers from buying the vehicle, as the grand tourer is exceptionally equipped. How is that? Let’s find out.
Bentley Continental GT – Luxury Speed Boat

The design of the Continental GT is no less than a luxurious speedboat. The lines and curves around the exterior of this vehicle are extremely elegant and flow ever so gracefully. The front grill is very large, although Bentley manages to make it look perfect. The front headlamps are round with a DRL striking the round figure, which looks very polarising.
The rear of the car has a similar story when it comes to elegance. The rear has very thin oval taillamps with a crystal design, which may look odd compared to the previous face model, yet somehow it still looks very elegant. The rear also features 2 oval-shaped exhaust exits, and the rims offered are 22 inches, which look sporty and elegant.
Bentley Continental GT – Luxury On Another Level
The interior of the grand tourer has taken things to a whole other level. The cabin features 20-way adjustable seats upholstered in soft leather, offering heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Buyers can choose from 15 standard colours and quilt patterns. The Continental GT offers three premium audio systems: a standard 650W 10-speaker setup, a 1,500W 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen system, and the top-tier 2,200W 18-speaker Naim for Bentley system, which includes active bass transducers in the seats for an immersive listening experience.
While the Continental GT is a 2+2 coupe, the rear seats are best suited for shorter trips or smaller passengers. The limited legroom may not accommodate taller adults comfortably. A standout feature is the 12.3-inch touchscreen that rotates to reveal either a digital display, a set of three analogue dials (showing outside temperature, compass, and stopwatch), or a veneered wood panel of any wood you would like.
Bentley Continental GT – Powertrain
The Continental GT is powered by a plug-in-hybrid powertrain that is shared with other new PHEVs from other cars in the Volkswagen Group. There is a twin-turbo V8 engine, which is a 4.0-litre unit, and is assisted by an electric motor. The combined power output is 771 horsepower, which makes 121 more HP than the outgoing W12 engine, and the V8 cannot be obtained without the hybrid system as of now.
These numbers result in absurd performance figures for a vehicle of its weight. The GT can accelerate from 0-100KM/H in just 2.8 seconds and goes to a top speed of 335KM/H.
Bentley Continental GT – Pricing
The base price of the Bentley Continental GT starts around 800,000 AED and goes up with options and variants, and the Mulliner models start from 1.1 million AED, which also go up with options. This means the main rivals of this car are the Porsche 911 Turbo S and the Ferrari Roma.
Bentley Continental GT – Verdict

Although the vehicle is extremely luxurious and loaded with equipment, no vehicle comes without it’s flaws. The V8 doesn’t sound as good as the W12 unit did, the added weight makes this car worse to handle than before, and the pricing may lead you to the cheaper 911 Turbo S.
But if you look over these issues, you realise that this grand tourer is in a class of its own. The elegant design, the comfortable and sporty interior which can stay timeless, the speed and performance of the engine, all make you think you may own the do-it-all sports car.
