BMW Reveals Pricing For The New iX3
BMW has officially revealed pricing for the all-new 2027 iX3 50 xDrive, and the electric luxury SUV arrives with a surprisingly competitive starting price. The new iX3 starts at $62,850, making it significantly more affordable than the Porsche Macan EV while also delivering much higher claimed driving range figures.
BMW says the iX3 will begin reaching customers in September 2026. Buyers can already configure the SUV through BMW’s official consumer website and reserve one with a $1000 deposit.
Dual-Motor Powertrain Produces 463 HP

The 2027 BMW iX3 50 xDrive comes standard with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing 463 HP. BMW has designed the SUV to balance performance, comfort, and efficiency while introducing the brand’s latest electric technology.
Standard equipment includes BMW’s futuristic windshield-spanning dashboard display, ambient interior lighting, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and bi-directional charging capability. The new iX3 also introduces BMW’s latest connected technology and advanced driver-assistance systems.
Massive EPA-Estimated Range Figures

One of the biggest highlights of the new iX3 is its claimed driving range. BMW says the SUV can deliver up to 434 miles of EPA-estimated range when equipped with the smallest wheel setup and optional summer tires.
Choosing the standard all-season tires slightly changes the figures, while larger wheel options reduce range further. Models equipped with optional 21-inch wheels offer between 398 and 399 miles of range depending on tire selection. The largest available 22-inch wheels lower the estimate to 392 miles.
Even with the larger wheel setups, the BMW iX3 significantly outperforms key rivals in range. The all-wheel-drive Cadillac Optiq offers up to 303 miles of range, while the Porsche Macan EV delivers a maximum of 304 miles.
BMW Positions iX3 Against Luxury EV Rivals
BMW appears to be targeting premium electric SUVs from Porsche, Cadillac, and Mercedes-Benz with the new iX3. The pricing strategy makes the iX3 especially competitive in the segment.
For comparison, the Porsche Macan EV starts at around $86,350, while the Cadillac Optiq begins at approximately $56,195. BMW positions the iX3 between those rivals by combining luxury features, strong performance, and class-leading range figures.
The iX3 also benefits from BMW’s latest Neue Klasse-inspired technology, giving the cabin a modern appearance with advanced displays and connected features.
Optional Packages Can Push Price Beyond $80,000
While the base price looks attractive, buyers can quickly increase the final cost through BMW’s extensive options list. BMW offers several standalone upgrades and feature packages for the iX3.
Available options include premium paint colors, a Parking Assistant package, Comfort package, Technology package, M Sport package, and Driving Assistance Professional package. Buyers can also select the M Sport Professional package, which alone costs $4000.
Fully loaded examples equipped with multiple upgrades can push the final price close to $80,000. Even so, BMW’s newest electric SUV still undercuts many luxury EV rivals while offering considerably more range.
BMW Continues Expanding Its EV Lineup

The iX3 represents an important step in BMW’s expanding electric vehicle strategy. With competitive pricing, strong performance, and impressive driving range, the new electric SUV is expected to become one of BMW’s most important EV models globally.
BMW will officially launch the iX3 later this year, with showroom arrivals expected by September 2026. The company is betting that buyers looking for a practical luxury EV will appreciate the iX3’s balance of performance, technology, and long-distance usability.
