Bugatti has revealed the Destrier, its latest one-off creation from the Solitaire division. The exclusive hypercar uses the same carbon-fibre structure and quad-turbocharged W16 engine as the track-focused Bolide. However, Bugatti has replaced the Bolide’s extreme appearance with a more elegant design and an opulent cabin.
Elegant Design Inspired By The Bolide
The Destrier keeps the low-slung proportions of the Bolide but adopts a smoother exterior. Its roof sits less than 40 inches above the ground, giving the hypercar a dramatic stance.
The signature Bugatti C-line receives chrome detailing and flows into a wider horseshoe grille. Meanwhile, oval headlights replace the Bolide’s X-shaped units. The car also features a simplified front aerodynamic fin and larger 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels.
Refined Rear With Active Aerodynamics
Bugatti has redesigned the rear section to create a cleaner appearance. The enormous Bolide rear wing gives way to a lower wing that flows from the rear bodywork.
Thin LED taillights sit above a large rear diffuser. Four exhaust outlets complete the design, while the rear wing retains an important aerodynamic role.
1,578 HP Quad-Turbo W16 Engine
The Destrier uses the same 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine as the Bugatti Bolide. The engine produces an extraordinary 1,578 HP and sends power to all four wheels.
A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission handles gear changes. Bugatti has not released acceleration or top-speed figures for the Destrier, but its powertrain remains focused on extreme performance.
Bespoke Cabin With Premium Materials
The cabin shares its basic structure with the Bolide but receives a completely different material treatment. Brown leather covers the seats and centre console, while a pinstripe pattern adds a bespoke touch.
The dashboard and door panels use a three-dimensional knitted textile. Copper yarns create a circular halo pattern that changes appearance under different lighting conditions.
Medieval Details Add A Unique Character
Bugatti has added several custom elements inspired by medieval armour. A hammered-metal finish appears on the door handles, air vents, steering wheel and sill plates.
The control panel also sits inside a brushed-metal housing. Together, these details give the cabin a distinctive blend of modern performance and historic design.
One-Off Production & Exclusive Positioning
The Destrier is the third project from Bugatti’s Solitaire division. The programme focuses on highly personalised vehicles built for individual customers.
Bugatti has not confirmed the price of the Destrier. However, its exclusivity and bespoke construction should place it well above the Bolide’s already substantial price.
Prices In The Middle East
Bugatti has not announced official pricing for the Destrier in Middle Eastern markets. The Bolide reportedly costs around USD 4.8 million, while the one-off Destrier could command several million dollars more. Therefore, its UAE price could exceed AED 25 million before local taxes and registration charges. Final pricing will depend on the individual specification and market.
Launch Timeline & Rivals
Bugatti will display the Destrier publicly during Monterey Car Week at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 16, 2026. As a one-off creation, it has no direct production rival. However, its performance and exclusivity place it alongside ultra-limited hypercars from Pagani, Koenigsegg and other bespoke manufacturers. Overall, the Destrier combines the Bolide’s extreme W16 power with a more elegant design and highly personalised interior.
