1 min read

McLaren has launched a new special edition and limited-run supercar based on their 750S supercar. The McLaren 750S Le Mans special edition commemorates the 30th anniversary of McLaren’s historic win at the Le Mans race in 1995. Limited to just 50 units, this special edition features a high downforce kit developed by McLaren’s Special Operations, also known as MSO. Let’s find out more about this Limited Edition supercar from McLaren.

Exterior Upgrades- McLaren 750S

As mentioned, a high downforce kit developed by MSO is added to the 750S. This kit enhances aerodynamics with a larger-sized carbon fibre splitter along with a larger-sized rear spoiler for a high net downforce. A roof scoop is also added for better air intake. These upgrades help the car generate 10% more downforce and keep the car stuck to the ground at higher speeds.

This Special 750S will be available in 2 colors, Le Mans Orange and McLaren Orange. New wheels are also clearly visible, representing the McLaren F1 GTR and LM, a true racing icon that won multiple races, including Le Mans. These wheels are distinctive 5-spoke racing wheels, giving the 750s an aftermarket look, yet racey.

Interior- McLaren 750S Le Mans

The interior offers new bespoke themes, mainly in 2 choices- now using Alcantara racing material, leather, and Le Mans branding throughout the cabin. Along with that, the car now gets a very serious racing roll cage along with a 6-point racing harness belt for track use. The carbon fiber bucket seat’s headrest now has LeMans branded proudly over it.

Powertrain- McLaren 750S LeMans

The McLaren 750S LeMans is powered by the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 motor now producing 740 Horsepower and a blistering 800 Nm of torque, both of which help the car accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/H in just 2.8 seconds and up to a top speed of 332 km/h. This results in a staggering performance figure that can beat rivals such as the Porsche 911 GT3 and the Ferrari 296 Speciale.

Verdict- McLaren 750S LeMans

The pricing is yet to be announced for this limited-run supercar, but it is most probably already sold out to MSO’s special customers. This new supercar from McLaren helps them be rather relevant in today’s supercar market, trending with limited-run track cars and track specials from rivals like Porsche and Ferrari. With the 750S now challenging its rivals, let’s wait to see how this car performs on the track!
