Mercedes-AMG is expanding its “high-performance” SUV lineup with the launch of its exclusive MANUFAKTUR program’s Arctic Silver edition, available now for the GLE and GLS SUV models. Limited to just 450 units worldwide, the special edition blends powerful performance with distinctive styling and luxury features.
Featuring the brand’s highly striking paint, matte Cirrus Silver Magno paint, and red-black accents. This is one of the first times the GLE is getting a limited edition series, apart from the GLS model that already has a high-end Maybach model on offer that can also bounce at the parties. What’s new?
The new MANUFAKTUR Arctic Silver edition adds a loud yet subtle layer of exclusivity. A first for AMG, the edition features a matte “high-tech silver magno” finish with striking red and black design accents. Large multi-spoke forged wheels: 22-inch on the GLE and massive 23-inch on the GLS come in matte black with red outer flanges. Red brake calipers and AMG-branded hub covers also add to the dynamic look.
Styling is increased even further with the AMG Night Package. High gloss black elements are added to key exterior features, including the front splitter, mirror housings, side skirt inserts, window surrounds, and rear apron trim. Dark chrome tailpipes, black roof rails, and tinted rear windows enhance the aggressive presence.
Interior
The interior receives an equally dramatic makeover with exclusive carmine red and black Nappa leather, featuring diamond quilting across the seats and door panels, which is complemented by red accented AMG carbon fiber trims. These are all unique additions to an interior which was already rich in high-quality materials and was vastly tech-loaded, with the GLS model being one of Mercedes-Benz’s most luxurious SUVs.

Verdict
Pricing has not been announced as of now by Mercedes-Benz, but this marks a bold shift for the 63 AMG high-performance variants of the mid-sized and large SUV offered by Mercedes-AMG. The limited edition will surely be sold out soon due to the highly exclusive paint job that is offered, which would look highly appealing, in real life as well as contribute to the sport performance of these SUVs.
