Eccentrica has revealed its latest creation based on the iconic Lamborghini Diablo. The new V12 Roadster removes the roof from the company’s earlier restomod while retaining its raw character. It combines classic 1990s styling with modern engineering, a naturally aspirated V12 and a six-speed gated manual transmission.
Roofless Design With Modern Carbon-Fibre Bodywork
The Eccentrica V12 Roadster uses an extensively reworked Diablo platform. The company says the car features more than 3,500 new components to modernise the original sports car.
The body uses carbon-fibre panels over a carbon-reinforced steel chassis. A redesigned rear wing, new splitters and lighter wheels further sharpen its appearance and reduce unsprung weight.
550 HP Naturally Aspirated V12
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 5.7-litre V12 engine. It produces 550 HP at 7,000 RPM and 443 LB-FT of torque.
The engine sends power to the rear wheels through a six-speed gated manual gearbox. Eccentrica has also remapped the ECU to provide a sharper throttle response during acceleration.
208 MP/H Top Speed
Despite losing its fixed roof, the V12 Roadster retains the coupe’s claimed top speed of 208 MP/H. The powerful V12 and lightweight construction should also deliver strong acceleration.
Eccentrica has not released an official 0-100 KM/H time. However, the roadster’s naturally aspirated engine and manual transmission should provide a highly engaging driving experience.
Driver-Focused Cabin Retains Classic Character
Eccentrica has not revealed every interior detail of the Roadster. However, the model follows the company’s approach of blending classic Diablo character with modern materials and engineering.
The open-top layout should also create a more immersive experience. Meanwhile, the manual gearbox keeps the driver directly involved in the car’s performance.
Limited Production Of Just 19 Units
Eccentrica will build only 19 examples of the V12 Roadster. Each car will receive a bespoke specification based on its customer’s preferences.
This limited production makes the Roadster considerably rarer than conventional performance cars. It also positions the model as a collector-focused interpretation of the classic Diablo.
Prices In The Middle East
Eccentrica has not announced official pricing for the V12 Roadster. The company also has not revealed a fixed global MSRP. Given its one-off-style construction and production run of only 19 units, the UAE price could exceed AED 10 million. Final prices will depend on customer specifications, taxes and import costs across Middle Eastern markets.
Launch Timeline & Rivals
Eccentrica will officially unveil the V12 Roadster at The Quail during Monterey Car Week on August 14, 2026. Production will remain limited to 19 customer-built examples. The roadster has no direct rival due to its bespoke nature, but it competes for attention with ultra-exclusive restomods from companies such as RML, Singer and Lanzante.
