Porsche has brought the manual gearbox back to the 2027 911 Carrera S. The new MT package combines a six-speed manual transmission with the 473 HP twin-turbocharged flat-six. It also adds performance-focused equipment, making the Carrera S a compelling option between the Carrera T and GT3.

473 HP Twin-Turbo Flat-Six

The 911 Carrera S uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine producing 473 HP. That gives it significantly more power than the 388 HP Carrera T.
Power goes to the rear wheels through the new six-speed manual gearbox. Porsche also fits rear-wheel steering and a slightly lower sport suspension as standard.

The new MT package brings three pedals and a traditional gear lever to the Carrera S. Porsche has also added a walnut shift knob for a more distinctive driving experience.
The manual version weighs around 3,327 LB. This makes it only slightly heavier than the Carrera T while delivering considerably more power.

Sport Chrono & Centerlock Wheels Included

Porsche bundles the manual gearbox with the Sport Chrono package. The package also includes centerlock wheels, which help reduce weight and reinforce the car’s performance-focused character.
The MT package also adds details such as puddle lights with the shift pattern and a red S badge at the rear.

Rear-Wheel Drive & Sportier Chassis

The manual Carrera S comes exclusively with rear-wheel drive. Its lower sport suspension also gives the car a sharper stance and more focused handling.
Rear-wheel steering further improves agility at higher speeds and makes the 911 easier to manoeuvre at lower speeds.

Optional Performance Upgrades

Buyers can further customise the Carrera S with a range of Porsche options. Available upgrades include additional exterior colours and carbon-ceramic brakes.
These options allow customers to configure the car for either everyday driving or more serious track use. The Carrera S therefore offers a balance between comfort and performance.

Prices In The Middle East

The 2027 Porsche 911 Carrera S MT starts at USD 169,450 for the coupe and USD 183,350 for the Cabriolet in the US. Based on these prices, the coupe could start around AED 625,000 in the UAE, while the Cabriolet could cost around AED 675,000. Final Middle East prices will vary across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman based on taxes, specifications and options.

Launch Timeline & Rivals

Porsche will offer the manual Carrera S from the 2027 model year. It sits between the Carrera T and the more expensive 911 GT3 in the lineup. The closest alternatives include the BMW M4, Mercedes-AMG GT and Chevrolet Corvette, although the Carrera S offers a unique combination of rear-engine layout and manual driving. Overall, the new MT package gives enthusiasts a more engaging way to experience the powerful 911 Carrera S.
