Land Rover has officially previewed the all-new Range Rover Sport Electric, expanding its luxury SUV lineup with an all-electric powertrain. The production-ready prototype made its public debut at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Moreover, the electric SUV promises strong performance, advanced all-wheel-drive capability and an impressive driving range while maintaining the iconic design of the Range Rover Sport.
Production-Ready Prototype Makes Public Debut
Land Rover showcased the Range Rover Sport Electric in near-production form at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Although the company has not confirmed every technical detail, the prototype closely resembles the final production model. As a result, the electric SUV appears ready for its global launch in the near future.
Dual-Motor Powertrain Produces Up To 542 HP

The Range Rover Sport Electric features a dual-motor electric powertrain with standard all-wheel drive.
According to early reports, the system produces up to 542 HP and 637 LB-FT of torque. Consequently, the luxury SUV is expected to deliver rapid acceleration while maintaining excellent traction on both roads and off-road terrain.
Driving Range Exceeds 300 Miles
Land Rover has not released official battery specifications. However, the company expects the Range Rover Sport Electric to deliver a WLTP driving range of up to 380 miles.
That figure translates to well over 300 miles under EPA testing standards. Therefore, the SUV should offer competitive long-distance capability for premium electric vehicle buyers.
Familiar Design With Subtle EV Changes
The Range Rover Sport Electric retains the clean styling of the standard model. Most exterior changes remain subtle to preserve the SUV’s premium appearance.
The front grille now features a closed-off design for improved aerodynamics. Meanwhile, the absence of exhaust outlets is the clearest indication that the SUV uses an all-electric powertrain.
Luxury Cabin & Modern Technology
Land Rover has yet to reveal the complete interior. However, the production model is expected to feature the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system, premium materials and advanced driver assistance technologies.
Additionally, buyers can expect the same luxury, refinement and practicality that define the current Range Rover Sport lineup.
Performance SUV For A New Era
The electric Range Rover Sport joins the growing performance SUV segment without sacrificing capability. Although it produces less power than the 626 HP Range Rover Sport SV, the instant torque from its electric motors could deliver even quicker real-world acceleration.
Moreover, Land Rover says the new model aims to redefine the performance luxury SUV segment through electrification.
Prices In India
Land Rover has not announced pricing for the Range Rover Sport Electric in India. If launched as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), the luxury electric SUV is expected to start at around Rs 1.8 crore (ex-showroom).
Prices In The Middle East
Land Rover has not confirmed official pricing for Middle Eastern markets. However, the Range Rover Sport Electric is expected to be priced between AED 520,000 and AED 620,000 in the UAE. Prices may vary across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman depending on local taxes, specifications and optional equipment.
Launch Timeline & Rivals

Land Rover is expected to launch the Range Rover Sport Electric globally during 2027, although the company has not confirmed an official timeline. Once introduced, the luxury electric SUV will compete with models such as the Porsche Cayenne Electric, Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric, BMW iX M70 and Lotus Eletre. Overall, the Range Rover Sport Electric combines premium luxury, strong performance and zero-emission driving, making it an important addition to Land Rover’s expanding electric lineup and a strong contender for customers across the Middle East.
