Skoda’s flagship sedan has always had one job: to out-deliver the badge on the grille. The 2025 Skoda Superb continues that mission with a design that is bigger, smarter, and more upmarket than ever. With this fourth-generation model, Skoda doubles down on luxury-for-less, especially in Europe, while tuning the package slightly for international markets like the UAE.
The formula remains familiar: Volkswagen technology, Czech engineering, and a price tag that undercuts the usual premium players. But this time, there are two distinct faces to the Superb, the cleaner, greener Europe-focused version and a more performance-tuned UAE variant for the highway-minded.
Skoda Superb – Design

The 2025 Superb is more refined than loud. Its proportions reflect those of a full-size sedan, with crisp shoulder lines and an elongated profile. Up front, the new LED matrix headlights are narrower and more technical. The grille is wider but restrained, while the lower intakes are cleaner than before.
It now measures 4912 MM in length, nearly 40 MM longer than the previous model. The liftback and estate (Combi) both benefit from improved aerodynamics and more road presence. The silhouette leans more toward the Audi A6 than the Volkswagen Passat.

At the rear, sleek LED tail lamps and the new Skoda wordmark branding create a minimal yet elegant look. This car does not demand attention. It earns it by design.
Skoda Superb – Powertrain

Skoda’s approach to powertrains is sharply divided between markets. In Europe, emissions regulations require a diverse and efficient engine lineup:
- 1.5 TSI mild-hybrid with 150 BHP
- 2.0 TDI diesel in two states of tune: 150 or 193 BHP
- 2.0 TSI petrol with either 204 or 265 BHP
- Plug-in Hybrid combining a 1.5 TSI petrol with an electric motor, producing 204 BHP, featuring a 25.7 kilowatt-hour battery and up to 100 kilometres of electric range (WLTP), with 50 kilowatt DC fast charging
In contrast, the UAE model skips both hybrids and diesels. Buyers in that region get two petrol-only options:
- 2.0 TSI with 204 BHP and front-wheel drive
- 2.0 TSI with 265 BHP and all-wheel drive, standard in the Laurin & Klement trim
Both versions are paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The UAE models are tuned for better performance at higher ambient temperatures and come with a stronger air conditioning system, critical in the Gulf regions with higher temperatures.
Skoda Superb – Interior

The cabin of the 2025 Superb feels like it belongs in a segment above. Dominating the interior is a new 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, paired with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Physical controls return in the form of three rotary Smart Dials, each with its mini display for climate, volume, and driving modes.

Material quality has been upgraded with soft-touch surfaces, metal accents, and ambient lighting. Rear passengers benefit most from the Superb’s size, with business-class legroom and plush cushioning. In the estate variant, boot space is among the largest in the segment, 690 litres with seats up, 1,920 litres with them folded.
Skoda Superb – Tech and Gimmicks

The Superb comes equipped with Skoda’s latest infotainment system, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Navigation is integrated, voice recognition is multilingual, and the system receives over-the-air updates. Gesture control and a new voice assistant enhance ease of use, particularly in motion. It gets Dynamic Chassis Control (adaptive dampers), which actively adjusts the suspension based on road conditions and driving style. The car comes with a 5-Star Euro NCAP safety rating for peace of mind.

ADAS features include:
- Adaptive cruise control with predictive speed assist
- Lane keep assist and emergency braking
- Traffic jam assist
- 360-degree surround view cameras with lens-cleaning functions
- Driver fatigue detection and predictive lane centring
European variants offer Level 2 ADAS semi-autonomous functionality on selected trims.
Skoda Superb – Pricing & Positioning

In the UAE, the Superb begins around AED 130,000 and stretches to roughly AED 165,000 in the fully loaded Laurin and Klement trim. That pricing places it above volume models like the Toyota Camry but below premium sedans like the BMW 5 Series or Mercedes E-Class.
Skoda Superb Verdict – Brilliantly Premium

The 2025 Skoda Superb succeeds because it understands its audience. It does not shout. It does not chase trends. It simply continues to do what the Superb has always done: deliver more car than expected, with quiet confidence and understated sophistication.
