Toyota Bids Farewell To GR Supra With MkV Final Edition

1 min read

Toyota is set to end production of the 5th generation Supra by early 2026, and to mark this moment, Toyota is coming up with a farewell “MkV Final Edition”. A point to note is that this final edition is not a mere touch-up and sticker job, but it actually does come with a few noteworthy additions. However, this final edition is not as hardcore as the limited run A90 Final edition.

Final Edition 5th Gen Supra Overview

The A90 Final Edition has a 429 BHP version of the BMW-sourced turbocharged 3.0-liter engine. In comparison, the US spec model comes with the standard output, i.e., 382 BHP and 368 pound feet of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual gearbox. Irrespective of the gearbox option, every MkV final edition has a carbon fiber ducktail spoiler, elevated front tire spats, and flaps on the front wheel arches.

Toyota is offering an additional GT4 appearance pack for those who want to stand out even more. This pack is inspired by Toyota’s GR Supra GT4 EVO2 race car, and the kit includes distinctive side graphics, red mirror caps, a matte painted rear spoiler, and a matte black Supra emblem at the back. The GT4 pack also unlocks two exclusive extra-cost matte paint options, i.e., Burnout and Undercover. However, Toyota says that the GT4 style pack will not be available to order until fall this year.

Toyota has also tweaked the software of the car to make it more precise on the racetrack, or even in daily usage for commuting on public roads. The tweaked software controls the rear diff to help improve traction and reduce understeer. Even steering feel is said to be altered now, with the steering now reportedly being more direct. All 4 tyres have a revised camber angle to aid cornering grip. Other changes include stronger rubber bushings for the suspension, an upgraded front anti-roll bar, and retuned adaptive dampers. Toyota has also added a new underbody brace to improve the rigidity of the vehicle. The brakes have also been upgraded to a better version of Brembo.

Final Edition 5th Gen Supra Interiors

The final edition MkV Supra comes with leather-trimmed interiors, Alcantara seats with red stitching and a GR logo on the headrests, a gear knob with red accents, and red seatbelts.

Final Edition GR Supra Pricing

The MkV Final edition is priced at $69,085. In comparison, the regular 2026 GR Supra 3.0 is priced at $58,035 for the base model, and the premium trim comes to around $61,185. As of now, it is unclear if Toyota will launch a 6th-generation Supra.
